Tidal Waves January 2010
Tidal Waves have returned home after touring nationwide throughout December, launching their fifth album entitled "Manifesto". In addition to performing a packed schedule of music venues in Durban, Pietermaritzburg, Pinetown, Port St Johns, East London and Cape Town, Tidal Waves were invited to perform as part of the line-up at the Peace Party Festival at Peace of Eden Farm in Knysna, and was also selected for the MK 4de Avontoer from 26 Dec - 2 Jan 2010. What a month!
Already, 2010 holds great promise on the horizon. January 2010 sees Tidal Waves performing at MIDEM in Cannes, France as part of exclusive artist collaboration entitled "South Africa at MIDEM 2010 - Celebrating Africa's Music." Tidal Waves will be sharing the stage with leading African artists such as Jozi, The Parolotones, Zulu Boy, Nothembi, Thandiswa and Kurt Darren. MIDEM is the one stop destination for the world's music community, being the world's largest music industry trade fair. In it's 44th edition, MIDEM has been held annually at the Palais des Festivals in France since 1967. The market brings together musicians, business people, cultural policy makers and journalists from many countries and provides a networking platform for showcasing new artists and musical trends, and much more.
Upon their return from France, Tidal Waves perform as part of the Campus Invasion Tour on 30 January in both Pretoria and Johannesburg alongside aKING, Gang of Instrumentals, Taxi Violence, PHDJ (OZ) and many more.
