This is the last time you can catch Tidal Waves in Gauteng this year before they embark on the MK 3rde Avontoer along the sunny South African coast!! Tidal Waves have been chosen to join Cape Town's best acts in this coastal tour that promises to rock everyone this holiday. To celebrate, a series of pre-parties have been planned: |

3 December at Back2Basix (JHB) and 4 December at Tings an Times (PTA) will see Tidal Waves performing with blues-rockers the Pretty Blue Guns – coming all the way from Stellenbosch. We really hope to see you there in support of original South African tunes!
The Pretty Blue Guns started playing together when they entered a high school Battle Of The Bands competition. In the beginning it was just for kicks, but it was not long before people started to realize that the Guns had something worthy of attention. Two years later, The Pretty Blue Guns are described as "gritty blues rock" and their influences range from early Robert Johnson era blues, to Tom Waits, to the more recent acts The Black Keys and Kings Of Leon, and everywhere in between. They have played shows all over the Stellenbosch/Cape Town area, as well as taking the long road to Splashy Fen 2008, where they did their first show beyond the borders of the Western Cape. The Guns regularly play in bars and theatres along with other great bands from the area, such as New Holland, New Loud Rockets, The Vontaines and This Quilt, among many others.
